About

macsteps.com is all about getting the most out of your Mac. Be it Mac OS X, software applications, utilities or web apps with Mac front-ends, macsteps gives you reviews, screencasts, tutorials and more so you can use your Mac and your software to their fullest (or, to use Apple lingo, “funnest”) potential.

This part of macsteps.com, the blog, is found at http://macsteps.com/blog/ and is publicly accessible by anyone. In 2009 macsteps will open the doors to a private membership area with much more and enhanced content.

For more details on what the upcoming membership site (tentatively dubbed “macsteps Premium”) will offer, visit the initial Welcome post. And be sure to sign up for receiving updates on the site’s progress. Simply enter your email address in the area in the sidebar of this page, where it says “Subscribe to macsteps via Email”.

Bio

macsteps.com is maintained by Tom Borowski. Tom started out as a Windows software developer in 1995 and went on to work as a freelance IT consultant, developing business software for banks and managing small software development projects. In 2006 he scaled back his consulting work in favor of building an online business.

In 2002 Tom bought his first Mac and has been hooked ever since. He occasionally, if need be, runs Windows in Parallels on his Mac Pro. But most of the time he enjoys geeking out with the increasing amount of great Mac shareware that makes using a Mac something special.

Tom lives in Munich, Germany.

Disclosures and Relationships

macsteps.com currently maintains relationships with the following companies:

This, however, does not influence the objectivity of any product reviews published. While macsteps may accept payment or other forms of compensation for publishing a review of a product or service, the result of that review cannot be bought.
